Hi there all, Ive got a laptop running XP, currently connected to broadband
and I've recently bought an iMac. I'd like to set up internet sharing
between the two via crossover cable, but I am unsure of how to configure
either of the two machines ! Any help would be much appreciated.

Kevin

Hi

You need to set-up ICS on the XP machine then set the iMac to use ethernet
and obtain IP via DHCP (I''m not a MAC user, that's why it's vague )

I would suggest you have a look at www.homenethelp.com for the initial
set-up for ICS and the broadband connection then just make sure the
settings for the iMac are as mentioned above and join them with a crossover
cable and away you go.

Regards

Bill

Buy a router, then you can use either machine without having to have one
always on as is the case if you use ICS.

But if you do, first make sure your broadband modem isn't USB or it
won't work!
