I just got broadband installed and I am interested in getting one of those
internet radios. What I would like to know is,are the UK radio stations
available on the internet outside the UK?
What brand of internet radio is recommended?
I live in Ireland.

The internet radio I know and love comes from shoutcast.net, which is a
directory of internet radio stations. So if I were to buy another MP3
player, I'd make sure it was compatible with the stations I listen to. What
stations do you want to listen to?

I don't know of any internet radio stations that limit their listeners by
country, but I'm sure they exist.

I've got a Slim Devices Slimp3. It lets me listen to the MP3 collection on
my PC as well as internet radio. It works really well, and I'd thoroughly
recommend it to anyone buying an MP3 player.

What a coincidence. I don't.

"Due to copywrite reasons .............."

This is a message you get to hate. Some broadcasts are limited by country -
especially sport. BBC Radio 5 and 5 live is not available for live
broadcasts of football, F1 and some other sport. Nor is BBC world service
for the Saturday sport programme - but you can get it off air.

A few music stations also have had limits as they paid royalties per
connection and didn't want foreign listeners. Don't know if that has changed
recently.
