Anyone know of a standalone internet radio device that uses a router
rather than a computer to stream data.

BT market what appears to be a neat device but it needs a running
computer to operate although the 'radio' can be in the garden provided
it remains within range.

I've just found something along the lines I am enquiring about
http://tinyurl.com/o4mqf

but am wondering why the technical requirements show

* Minimum Pentium III 500 MHz processor
and
* UPnP server application e.g. Twonkyvision MusicServer
(recommended)

Have a look at the AE Wi Fi radio:

I am using one for radio/MP3 streaming. It goes through Reciva
(www.reciva.com) for its radio signals though which may be a downside.
