internet problems

I have two computers connected to cable internet throught a
base station mn-500. Computer A is xp and computer B is
windows 98 second edition. Computer b can't access the
internet and continually refreshes finding a base station
but can't logon into in. Computer A can acces the internet
and base station. Orginally I thought if i reload
computer b networking software i could access files from
computer a to computer b by-passing the permersion thing on
computer a trying to access files on computer b but end up
losing computer b internet connection. Orginally internet
work but computer a couldn't access files/printer on
computer b. Computer a has 192.168.2.28 ip address and
computer b has 192.168.2.16 ip address. Subnet mask is
255.255.255.0 and gateway address is 192.168.2.1 and using
dhcp. The thing i want to be solve first is the access the
internet connection on computer b.

You need a 241344 on Computer b. Go to http://support.microsoft.com and
do a search for that article it will tell you how to fix this Windows issue.

that artical deals with symtoms with internet explorer 5
and later. I have internet explorer 6 and netscape 7.1.

Now I get a blue screen error containing:
A fatal exception oe occured at 0028:C1834804 in VxD
PPPMAC(03) + 00000A14. This current applicatoin will be
terminated. When opening broadband network utilty. I
followed artical 819518 to get this.
