Internet to local netowrk Routing prolem.

Hi i have a windows 2003 server that im trying to get to be the Gateway for
our internet the setup is this Cable Modem - Server(NIC1) - Local
Network(NIC2). RRAS was set up to NAT was selected with the corect Nic's and
the internet worked on the networked computers kinda. i noticted most sites
worked 1 big one that didn't was Windows updates and some microsoft one not
all but some of them did work. Has any one elsa had this problem?

If it worked at all,..even once to only one site,...then your NAT setup does
work. If it didn't then it would not have worked at all,..not even once.

There is a good chance that the machines are so hoplessly choked up with
Spyware/Adware that they don't resolve URLs to the proper IP# or that
traffic is "intercepted" a dozen times over by each piece of spyware on the
machine that keeps it from ever getting to where it is supposed to go.

You choice of an "alias" could even indicate that this is even more possible
than normal. Napster has often been refered to as the Virus & Spyware
Installation Tool.

No spyware and it works fine when they use the cable/DSL Router but when i
set up Windows 2003 to be a NAT Router some site's work some don't?

I have no idea. There are no elaborate restriction abilities in a 2003 "nat
box". I have no details to troubleshoot from,..and at the moment I wouldn't
even know what to ask for.
