Yes, just uninstall it in Add or Remove Programs. Your base station is
already programmed, and anything you need do with it can be done at the
192.168.2.1 default (unless you've changed it) address in your browser.
As for your sluggish computer, I would run your anti-virus software - using
updated definitions - in a thorough check, and then download one of the free
Trojan-detecting programs like AdAware to see what else is lurking on your
system. Check also your temporary Internet files and whittle those down. I
helped a lady the other day with a slow system, and she had about 350
Trojans and over 30,000 TIFs on the system, thanks to her teen-age son.
