Although it looks like you can make a different DNS setting for each
network card, you can't. There's only one DNS setting, and it applies
to all of them.
Why do you need to enable DNS for your NIC? If your ADSL router has a
built-in DHCP server, it should be able to automatically configure the
computer's DNS server address.
If you really need different network settings for home and work, you
can install one of these programs. They let you store multiple
network configurations and switch between them easily:
NetSwitcher
