Hi Jay - you go into the network connection's Sharing tab
and tell it to enable Internet connection sharing. I presume
XP is the same, so you're probably already familiar with it.
In response to a previous post I made , someone mentioned
ICS DHCP; when I set mine up initially I didn't realise ICS does have
it's own DHCP server functionality, so I set my network up with static
IP. but the help files recommend the other PCs just use
DHCP. The Routing and RAS stuff may give you more fine
control over things; I haven't really looked at it. The fact
that it's a server OS doesn't really have that much bearing,
other than that you might want to make sure unused services
aren't running as an efficiency/security issue. If you're
hoping to run things like FTP or whatever, it might be worth
checking the Acceptable Use Policy of your ISP to see if they
allow them. Hope that helps,
Ross
