Dig deep into your memory archives.
I'm trying to help a friend set up ICS. I set it up at my
house so I thought I could help them with it. I'm using
win98 se they have the first version of win 98. I don't
see the option or wizard nor is it mentioned anywhere in
their windows help files. I do have their two machines
networked and can see each other so the network cards and
cables are working ok. My question is ... Is there a
simple download to make ICS an option? they live in a rual
area and usually only connect at 28800kbs so I don't want
to download everything available @ MS update. If it
matters they are using AOL versioin 6.0 (dial up).
Thanks for your time to help!
Joe

I'm sorry, but the first version of Win 98 doesn't have Internet
Connection Sharing.

These web pages list some Internet sharing programs that will run on
your friend's computer. However, I don't know which programs can
share an AOL dial-up connection:

Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group
for everyone to see. I'm sorry, but I don't answer questions
addressed directly to me in E-mail or news groups.
