Internet Access drops out

I have had my laptop and home computer (both XP) running as a home network
for about 8 months and whilst most of the time everything is fine - once
every couple of days the internet access drops out.I switch off and back on
the Linksys WAG54G router and the connection is back.
Does anyone know of a similar problem and is there anything that can be
done?
