Hi All,

I've got a problem with my home network that I hope someone can shed
some light on. My ISP is Verizon FIOS with a hub connected to the
Verizon router. I'm using private IP addresses internally and all
three of my machines (2 running Windows 2000 Server and 1 running XP
Pro) can talk to the Internet and ping each other. I've set up Tomcat
on one machine and Apache on another. Yet, none of my machines can
talk to each other via HTTP, FTP or anything. Yet, I can ping any box
from any other box. Where can I begin to look?

Thanks.

Do you have any firewall running? Can you telnet port 80, 21?

I have no SW (that I know of) or HW firewall implemented. But, I'll
double check this evening.

Problem solved! I had forgotten about a print server on the LAN.
Basically, one of my servers was sharing an IP address with the print
server. It would also have helped if I had the Tomcat service set for
automatic instead of manual. Well, all's working now. Thanks for
your help.
