I'm currently running my internal sharepoint site on a different port than 80
and not using the defualt website is this a good idea for security purposes
not to ruun it on 80? is it more secure or is running it on 80 not a
security risk.

George,
Running on a different port is of minimal security significance. Managing
SharePoint security is a very big subject, and the port number will be way
down the list,
