Internal Orinoco card. Antenna boosters available?

I have a Satellite Pro 6100 with an Orinoco card built in, on-board. There
is a little access pannel on the underside of the machine with some sort of
3-4 inch rat-tail antenna.

Is there some way that I can either build an longer (more sensitive)
rat-tail, some sort Pringles can-o-boomer, or a powered antenna booster?
