I'm getting an intermittent PC connections on my PC. This
loses the internet connection on a regular basis, which
could be anywhere from a few times/hour to a few
times/day. The PC light on the modem is blinking or out
when the connection is lost.

It is most obvious on Internet Messenger, which gets
disconnected and also slows down web browsing and e-mails.

The PC is 4 years old, running a P3 @ 500 MHz. I have a
3COM NIC & I wonder if I just need a new one.

Any ideas?
