I have just got broadband activated and I have noticed when I close down the
computer it loads back up again on it own. Is this normal when you have
broadband or is there a virus present?
To prevent the computer booting up by itself I remove the cable from he
Ethernet card.

Hope someone can shed some light on this.
Thanks
Pat

Check your Network Interface or LAN card for settings that allow "wake on
LAN" capabilities. It may also be a setting with a jumper on the motherboard.

It might also be a CMOS setting.
