Inter-Forest WINS

We have two network-connected locations in two different single-domain
forests. We are not yet prepared to do a restructure migration of one
into the other. Instead we are trying to set up an intermediate step in
which we do conditional forwarding in DNS from each domain to the
other. As long as duplicate names are corrected first, will problems be
created by setting up a WINS push-pull replication partnership between
the hub WINS server at Location A and the hub WINS server at Location
B?

I've had experience with push-pull partnerships only within a single
domain. The reason we are trying to do this is that one location is on
Exchange 2k3 and the other is on Lotus Notes. We need an Exchange
connector--which I believe requires WINS--but we are not yet ready to
do an inter-forest restructure because there is yet a third forest into
which both locations must ultimately be restructured.
Thnx,

If you only need to set up an exchange connector to lotus notes then you
could add the wins entries manually as static entries. Not sure why the notes
connector should use wins. If you can connect to notes from the forest that
doesn’t have notes server then the notes connector should work.
If the 2 networks are already connected then there should be no problem
replicating WINS.
