Hi ,

I have three win98se machines networked with SURECOM SN5000 cards and a
SURECOM switch, all running client for microsft, tcp/ip and file and printer
sharing. 1 is set to master browser enabled and the other two are disabled,
network address's are set manually, problem is some days the network fires
up perfectly and is fast, other days its slow and other times the machines
cant even find themselve's.
I have changed network cards, hub, uninstalled network and re-installed
protocols, run the latest Vet (10.65) for virus, run Pest Patrol v5, on all
machines and found nothing (the network was all disconnected when this was
done). Have installed Ethereal and monitored traffic, 99.9% tcp the rest udp
and arp. I have run out of ideas .can anyone help make this network stable

Thankyou in anticipation
Stuart

enable the other two browsers ....if the master you have now is having a
problem , that would account for your symptoms

see if it helps :>
