I have PCI wireless D-Link DWL-G510 Network card on a PC using windows XP
Pro SP2 and the other is a notebook HP dv-4000 has a wireless card Intel Pro
2200BG with Windows XP Home Edition SP2 and Norton Internet Security 2005
after I installed the D-link PCI card on the PC and I installed the network
SSID and ad-hoc I did the same thing on the Notebook also I made IP
192.168.1.x on both PCs the SSID is the same in both PCs when I connect it
connect successfully and when I ping the ip of the PC it reply same thing
for notebook but when I'm trying to ping the ip of pc from notebook it gave
me time request out same thing from notebook and pc how can I make laptop
see pc and share files and transmit data also how do I make the internet
working from my laptop because I have a USB DSL modem on my pc.
NB. I don't have access point I made peer to peer (ad-hoc).
