Intel AP and Linksys router connectivity problems

I have an Intel PRO/Wireless 2011 LAN access point (WEAP2011NA) connected to
a Linksys router (BEFSR81). My laptop has a Intel AnyPoint wireless 2
network card (AP311). The wireless connection works great if I connect the
AP to the cable modem directly. However when I connect the AP to the
linksys router into any port 1-8, the NIC card gets the correct IP from the
router but when I try and surf the web no pages will load. I have pinged
yahoo.com with a 50% loss and a 41-44ms response time for the ones that
reply. With this I know that I have internet connectivity just that it
times out when connected thru the linksys router. The AP is set on Channel
1 with 1 encryption key, 64 bit encryption in Infrastructure mode. Signal
Stregnth is 95-99% Signal quality is 95-100%

Any ideas?

Regards,
David

If this is XP, be sure to uncheck 802.11x Authentication and the Windows
firewall.

Yes I am on XP. I did check and the windows firewall is not selected.
However I am not sure where to check on the 802.11x authentication.

I love Microsoft. One thing here, one thing somewhere else. Right
click the connection icon in the taskbar, select View Available Wireless
Networks.
