Hiya. I'm installing Windows Server 2003 onto two systems. I am
installing from CD. In both cases, the system does not recognize the
ethernet interfaces. The systems are different brands, Ion and HP, so I
suspect this is a generic problem. I enter the device manager, and I see
yellow question marks over the ethernet controller. I try to update from
the CD, but it says no device driver available on the CD. I'm willing to
download something, if necessary. I will have to download to my
workstation, burn a CD, and carry it to the new systems I am loading.

(It was funny that the system offered to connect to the internet to
download a driver. The system is not on any network yet.)

Thanks.

Hi Tom,

Check the model and manufacturer of the NIC. Armed with this information,
visit your NIC manufacturer website and look for drivers for Windows 2003.

If you need help finding correct drivers, provide information about what NIC
you have (manufacturer and model #).
