installing TCP/IP

having a few problems sharing connection over basic P2P wireless network

it worked fine previously

i have noticed on one of the machines TCP/IP doesnt appear to be installed
when i go into the properties for the wireless network adapter

upon clicking install i get an error message

could not add the requested component, the system could not located the
required file


or words to that effect

can anyone help me out

I have tried changing a few reg keys from

%SystemRoot%\inf

to

C:\WINDOWS\inf

and it hasnt worked, any help much appreciated

you really shouldnt mess about with the registry if you are not sure
what you have done -

however what OS are you running and what network card are you using -
as TCP/IP is the default protocol within Windows 2000 and XP

You need the OS installation CD.

i have the OS installatyion CD

windows XP

it doesnt seem to help at all

I think its FUBAR
