Installing software

Hi

The technician at my old company sometimes installed software by 'installing
it on the server and then making the short cut available to the users'.

Can anyone point me in the direction of how he did this?

If it was a Windows 2000 domain he may have used Group Policy to install the
software. From your description it sounds as if it was assigned to users.

Are you saying they ran the App from the Server or that they installed it
from the server? The two aren't the same thing.
