Yes, it is the personal edition that I installed. The rpm is on the CD#3 of the installation package for suse linux 9.0. If I log on as root, then can I use yast to install the rpm?

Usually the suse personal edition doesn't contain server
packages, if you have that.
Anyway if you have the package, simply open some xterm/kvt,
become root:
'su -' and 'rpm -ihv /path/to/cdrom/package/package.rpm' to
install. Change "/path/to/cdrom/package/package.rpm" with where
it is, usually '/media/cdrom/..' on suse.
