I am trying to put a new computer on anexisting network.

The network is using WIN98SE software.

I installed 5 computers that are tied together. One work
station is called MASTER STATION. It has data the is
accessed by the 4 other stations. The other stations are
entitled secretary - receptionist - accounting - risk -
msgr ....

The 4 "remote" stations can see (and access) the MASTER
STATION, but from the MASTER STATION, you can not see (or
access) the "remote" stations - except for "receptionist".

I have installed the Client for Microsoft Network and of
course checked to enable others to access the MASTER
STATION computer and files.

When I right mouse click on Network Neigborhood and try to
map a new one, I get an error message. I also have tried
mapping another station by using the Map Network Drive by
right mouse clicking MY COMPUTER. It gives me the
message - "The computer or share name could not be found.
Make sure you typed it correctly, and try again"

If you don't mind, please send any help to my email address
(E-Mail Removed) and make it to the attention
of "Terry". This is a church building system.
Thanx

Is there any firewall software running on the PCs?
Can you connect using the UNC path of \\computername\sharename or
\\ipaddress\sharename from run?

Thanx for the response Rob.

There is not any Firewall software on any of the
computers. All have NAV 2004 - one does have Norton
SystemWorks.

I don't really understand the UNC path question. Each
computer can access the MAIN STATION computer. It is the
one that has all of the data stored. However, the MAIN
STATION can not access the other computers.

Thanx
Terry
