Hi there,

Am trying to install a 3 com 3c905b fast etherlink NIC with little success.

I run windows 98 se which picks up new hardware when I install NIC in PCI
slot, the card functionality appears ok when I look in Device Manager, but
when PC reboots windows slows to a crawl and either does'nt load or if it
does it won't shut down.

What I would like to know is do these symptoms suggest any causes for this
behaviour. I suspect maybe further configuration of pc is necessary ?

THanks in anticipation
--
Matt

You would be better off contacting the 3Com support people or perhaps nosing
around a web site like www.practicallynetworked.com, Matt. This newsgroup
is for support of Microsoft's Broadband Networking hardware and software
only, not other products or networking in general.

It'll take some of the guesswork out of the support, Matt. You're better
off with 3Com support than people who don't know the product.
