Your T-1 source will be able to provide you a list of suggested
equipment, and should be able to provide the equipment as well as
configuration.

You're pretty far from a T-1 then.

No. It won't have the proper ports.

Normal router, but not a broadband router such as your Linksys.

Yes I could show you. No I won't bother. Call your T-1 supplier
first, and use their services. You can find the documentation if you
look, but you're a long way from understanding it. You don't know
what a TSU is or how to configure it, you won't have a clue what a
DLCI would mean to you and you don't know yet whether you're using a
direct line or attaching to a frame relay cloud.
Keep in mind that you'll need usually about $2,500 - $3,000 for the
TSU, router, firewall and installation of the demarc, plus another
$500 to $1,000 for configuration and setup charges. If you're lucky
and near the switch, you might get $600 a month with a 24 month
contract including the local loop.
What you really want is a DSL line with 1024K or better and at least a
512K CIR. Good luck.
