Install problem- WMP54G

Hello,

My problem is installing the Linksys WMP54G PCI card in an older pc,
motherboards from years 1999/2000 and latest firmware. Actually tried it in
three pc's....two are similar in that they use 667mhz CPU/WIN98SE on the
PGA-370 socket. These two did not work, the card is recognized and either
the driver does not install or if I go thru and update the driver and then
enable the device, I can not get a connection to the net. I even tried
installing WINME on one of the units, no change. The PCI card software that
installs with the driver never shows any signal strength or connection with
these two units.

The third unit was a Dell 900mhz/WINME unit it worked great with a flawless
first time install.

I also bought a Motorola WPC1810G PCI adapter with the same bad results.

Any ideas?
