Inspiron 8000 one antenna cable

I am replacing a mini PCI Truemobile 1150 (802.11b) with a Truemobile 1300
(802.11b/g) in my Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop. Apparently, the 8000 has only
one antenna cable. Both mini PCI cards have two antenna connectors. Can I
attach the antenna cable to the closest antenna connector? Will this work?
Does the 1300 require two antenna cables to function correctly?
