Anyone having problems ?

Its been two days now, and access is _very_ slow and patchy for me...
(other web services like http / pop3 / p2p are fine)

Seems to have picked up again for me now, for no known reason...

It was running _really_ slow (took about 12 minutes to download the new
headers for ~20 groups) despite rebooting, power-cycling the router etc.

Now after wading through posts like treacle for a couple of hours its
back to its normal snappy self :-}

Fine here :-)

Dave Fawthrop <dave hyphenologist co uk> Google Groups is IME the *worst*
method of accessing usenet. GG subscribers would be well advised get a
newsreader, say Agent, and a newsserver, say news.individual.net. These
will allow them: to see only *new* posts, a killfile, and other goodies.

Patchy here... Opening an article can hang indefinitely, but opening
the next one and then reversing into the stuck one will be ok. Been
happening for a week or two.

I can't figure out which ISP you're using for your connection. Tiscali
seem to drop NNTP traffic when their network is heavily loaded, but they
also kill p2p. When I do get a connection, things run well.
