I would look for a wireless router that supports an
external antenna (the MS routers don't). It is possible
to extend the range with the appropriate antenna and
amplifier, and it is easier if the system was design to
just plug-in the range extender. I would do a search on
the Internet first for wi-fi range extender.
BTW, we were able to set a link up to 30 miles away using
a old sat dish as antenna :-)
