If you have an ethernet connection available at the distant site, I would
recommend adding a second access point. If there is enough of a signal
overlap, you would be able to support roaming as well. The question with
roaming that is not clear to me is whether or not you setup both access
points with the same or different channel number. Linksys says to use the
same channel, everyone on the net indicates using a different channel.
Using the same channel would seem to limit bandwidth because of potential
interference between the two units. I am experimenting with my home setup
with two access points and it seems that both ways work reasonably well in
my very limited testing.
BTW, I prefer the second access point over a repeater. The repeater
consumes additional bandwidth per my understanding do to it having to
retransmit the information thereby cutting bandwidth in half.
