Incorrect subnet with DHCP lease

We are having the same issue here...Novell 6.0 DHCP server
with only 98 clients having issues with the wrong subnet
mask. (the correct mask is 255.255.255.0 and the 98
clients pick up 255.0.0.0.) We started having problems
after we moved to a new location( new wiring, switches
etc.) thought is was a switch problem but have spanning
tree off and portfast on and still have problems...no idea
where to go from here..2000 clients work fine so the DHCP
server should be configured correctly. ???????????
