incorrect password when logging into win 2000 server

Hi. help.

We just loaded some windows 2000 server patches on the
server and since then the wndows 98 machines have been
having trouble logging in. The get an "incorrect
password" error message, and need to try again, on the
second, third or fourth try they will get in ok. The
machine then works ok until it is needed to be restarted
for any reason. then the same thing happens. However it
isn't on all Win 98 machines, only most of them.

????Any ideas?

First make sure all your Nic driver's are upto date.
Also check if some of the machine's are 98 first edition
or second edition. Also make sure your using the same TCP
stack on all of the machines, preferably you'll have
Microsoft's.
