I have the Microsoft Broadband Networking Wireless kit
(MN-610/MN-620) connected to my desktop running Windows
XP with Microsoft Office 2003 and it runs fine. My
problem is with my laptop that uses the wireless notebook
adapter, MN-520. I loaded Microsoft Office 2003 on it
and had problems with connecting to the internet. I
finally uninstalled it but now can't re-install it
because of compatability issues. Is Office 2003 not
compatable with the wireless adapter? Help............

Absolutely not. No way having Office would have anything to do with tht
problem.

What kinds of problems did you have.

Keep in mind, if you have a notebook, take it to other places see if you can
get a signal (be it friends, Starbucks, or places you'll find a signal)

Steve,

Thanks for the response. I originally loaded the
wireless network months ago and had no problems.
Recently the signal to the internet on the laptop was
very weak so it kept knocking me off the internet, and I
could no longer use the printer connected to the
desktop. I told a friend what happened and he told me
that it happend to him and he just reinstalled the
software on his laptop and never got a weak signal
again. So of course I tried it and discovered that it
was not as successful for met. Immediately I got the
message "Microsoft Broadband Networking has a known
compatability issue with this version of windows. For an
update that is compatable with this version, contact
Microsoft Broadband Networking." My laptop is a Dell
Inspiron 4150 and came with Windows XP and I've never
changed it so that's why I'm puzzled why the error came
up. The message goes away and the wizard allows me to
continue until I reach the part where I have to enter my
wireless security (WEP) key. I didn and it keeps telling
me that it's not the correct one. I checked on my
desktop and it's the exact one I used on it and the one I
used the first time I loaded the software on the laptop.
This is where I'm stuck. Can you help?
