Inability to acess certain sites

I am unable to acess certain websites that i could in the
past. I have cleaned out my HOST file which worked before
but does not now. What causes this kind of problem?

What hardware are you using?

How do you connect to the Internet?

Which OS are you using?

Are you using a Router?

Are you using any of the Microsoft hardware?
