Hi There
I will appreciate if you can help meï?Š. We want to implement Remote Installation services for the installations of Windows 2000 across the enterprise WAN. We have 14 Sites connected through lease lines and we have Cisco 1750 Routers on each site and Pix firewall as gateway in the head office. We have dedicated RIS on Windows 2000 advance Server working on 192.168.99.X subnet.
We want to implement RIS on WAN which has 14 subnets e.g 192.168.100.x,192.168.101.x;192.168.102.x……… ……..192.168.115.x
I am looking for the best value solution and I will appreciate you expert opention

How are you going to effieciently "cram" a whole CD of data (the Win2k
installation) over a slow WAN link to install it on remote machines?

Dear Phillip
thankx for your reply, the main site has 10MB lease line and all the other sites have got 2MB lease line connection, so if you still think that the network traffice is an issue then what other options do we have? A dedicated RIS server on each site? or............what else

You should install RIS servers on each site.

Yes, I would put a RIS on each site. Even a 10mb line is slow for that type
of stuff. Those things were meant for 100mb LAN connections.
