Hi,

I have very limited knowledge on MPLS technology.

If the backbone network we have implements MPLS, would
there be anything to be concentrated explicitly due to MPLS backbone
while choosing WLAN solution i.e should the chosen WLAN products be
having some additional functionality to leverage on the presence of
MPLS backbone.
MPLS works just in the backbone, ie between routers, as soon as it
enters the destination network gateway, the packets transform to the
normal layer 4 format as the gateway strips of the IP level headers
and gives out layer 4 packet. The WLAN switch (or AP) we choose is
just like a bridge connected to our network (i.e before it leaves the
gateway). If this is considered, i see that there won't be any impact
of mpls backbone on WLAN products to be chosen.

Is that correct ?

Thanks for your time.
