Illegal syntax in /etc/hosts: two entries for 127.0.0.1 ?

I found the following entry in /etc/hosts on a host, and want
confirmation that this is illegal syntax:

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
127.0.0.1 www.travelweb.com mailhost

The two lines were right underneath eachother, just as I pasted them
above.

Why are you multiposting essentially the same question to different
groups? You should crosspost so that everyone sees the same question

the second line should not have this loopback ip addy. if you do
/sbin/ifconfig -a, and whatever ip addy it shows on eth0, that should go
on the second line seems.

what is your /etc/sysconfig/network file look like?
