Hi All,

We have two different networks and there is a route defined on that server
to communicate with each other. I am facing a problem to configure IIS. The
goal is, I have to define redirecting URL to connect to other domain server.

Whenever I can access the remote IIS from the server where I configured the
Redirecting IIS and its working good but from internet i can not access the
URL.

Please help understand why we are recieving the problem. thankx.

Tausif.

A redirect simply sends the browser client to a new URL. That new URL
needs to be accessible to the client, not the server that does the
redirect. If you need to serve data from a different web server that
is unavailable to the client, you can't use a redirect.

Follow up in the IIS groups with an explanation of wehat you need to
do and you'll get solutions that may work for you.

When you redirect to another web server the user does not go through the
first one to get to the second one. It is actually causing the user's
browser to send the request to the second one, therefore the user must be
able to access the second web server directly or it will not work.
