IIS certificate wizard, generating certificate request

I need to purchase a wildcard SSL certificate for a 2003 R2 server
running IIS6. Currently the web sites have self signed certificates from
the CA on the server.

When I launch the IIS certificate wizard on the default web site it
tells me a certificate is currently installed on this website and the
only options I cam pick are renew/remove/replace/export/copy or move to
remote. There is no option for generating a request. Anyone have any
suggestions on how to generate the certificate request?

Thanks

I thought I would need to remove it. The problem is the box is in use
with outside users using the sites w/SSL so from what I think I will
break IIS SSL capability if I remove the existing certificate and the
outside users will not be able to connect.

It seems the choices I have would be to temporarily export and delete
the existing certificates, create a request then reimport the old
certificates until I get the new certificate. Or I guess I could create
the request on another server then export it and import it on this server.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE A CERTIFICATE TO CREATE A CERTIFICATE
REQUEST!!!

Simply choose renew from the wizard and you can create a request and
specify the new CN OU etc
