"ifconfig eth0" command not showing the Gateway address, how can I verify on Linux system?

"ifconfig eth0" command not showing the Gateway address, how can I
verify on Linux system what is the gateway?. I can see IP address, also
Subnet mask and Broadcast, can I calculate Gateway using IP addr &
subnet Mask?. Thanks.

Use route(8) ("man 8 route")
