We have 2 Windows 2000 Domain Controllers. Each is in a different location
on a different subnet. They are all part of the same domain. They are
connected thru a Wan link using Cisco routers.

I recently noticed that when one server was rebooting at one location, PC's
at that location could not locate a domain controller to log on.

Is there anything I need to check to make sure that PC's at one location can
still log on to the Domain by using the Domain Controller at the remote
location ?

Thanks

Are all the DCs in their own sites/subnets?

I would check the DNS settings first. quoted from http://www.chicagotech.net/dnstroubl...20DNS%20Issues

4. If you have two or more DNS servers in different locations, you will setup primary DNS and 2nd DNS servers point to themselves as primary and each other as secondary.
