Troubleshooting 2 computer connected to the internet I tried to put PPPoE on
my wifes computer as the Outlook Express was not working right. It was going
through a router connecting to the internet. I was trying to connect it to
DSL modem directly by passing the router to see if the router was the
problem. The PPPoE software did not work from my ISP. I think I shouldn't
have installed it as it had a different network card. Now when I try to
connect running IE it just locks up the computer and I can't turn off the
computer but if I pull the plug and restart the computer after plugging it
back in it will restart Windows 98 again. The computer is a IBM 34U. Can any
one help me? I even tried a new network card but it still shuts down going
into IE.
