My new ADSL modem-router has two parameters for a PPP connection that I am
unsure about, namely:

Idle Timeout: 60 secs - default value but not changeable.
Keep Alive: 10 mins - can be changed

Could SKS please tell me the significance of these?

TIA
Chris
