anyone know of a way I can have ident work for irc but have it still appear
as stealth for scans. ive set up port forwarding. but then its seen as
closed when i do this. my router is model mn 700

Use an app triggered port forward

Whatever port you connect to the IRC server (usually it is 6667), have it
trigger a port forward of port 113 (TCP).

That should do the trick for IDENT (it'll forward the port for 2 minutes,
more than enough time for you to connect to the irc server.

thanks Jason worked great. I didnt want to run a zonealarm just cuasxe of 1
port. nice not to have to run software for this
