The weird thing is, I can get my Laptop w/ 2000 to surf
and get email. However, it only lasts for about 5 minutes
and then all of the sudden it doens't work anymore. Then
it will work a while later than stop again. Does this
make sense to anyone? I Have my Cable Modem connected to
my ME PC by way of USB. I then have a cat5 connection
from my ME PC to a Netgear Fast Enet Switch (FS605).
Finally, my Laptop running 2000 is also connected into the
Enet switch. This same setup worked great when I had
Direcway but as soon as i switched to Adelphia, this
started happening to me. I have the TCP/IP settings for
the Laptop set at 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.1 on the Host
(ME PC). If anyone has any suggestions plese let me know.

Todd

Todd,

Does the ME PC surf consistently, or only periodically like the
laptop?

Can you ping the laptop from the ME PC, and vice versa, when this no
surf problem is happening?

Are you running ICS on the ME PC? Is the laptop using DHCP settings?

Cheers,
Chuck
Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.
