LS,

With my computer I have access to Internet by cable modem (@Home, by
network card). So, this connection has been installed allready.
Please explain to me step by step how to install ICS under Win98SE (on
the computer with direct acces to internet, and after that on the 2nd
computer (with Windows XP).

Wim

Configure the Win98SE computer as an ICS host. This site has details:

ICS Installation [Win98SE]

Configure the WinXP computer as an ICS client, as shown here:

XP ICS - Client Setup Using the Network Setup Wizard

If it's possible, I strongly suggest moving the cable modem to the XP
computer and reversing the computers' roles. XP's version of ICS is
easier to set up and much more reliable than 98SE's version.

With your setup you would be better off forgetting all about ICS, and
instead, use a router. That way you would never have to keep a "host"
computer running in order for your other computer to access the internet.
