I have ICS set up and working BUT we can't see each other.
It worked for about two hours where I could see the host
from the client and vice versa. I could transfer files
etc. Then, it stopped right after I plugged a printer into
a USB port. I can see my OWN computer in Network
Neighborhood but not the other. How can it be that I can
use ICS but not see the computer that's hosting the
internet connection. The host is WINDOWS XP and the client
is 98 and I'm using a cross-over cable between the two. It
DID work...now it won't.

that happened to me once (HostW98 to clientW98) and i did
the following:
for host computer do this:
1. uninstall ICS from Windows
2. restart
3. install it again
4. restart
5. delete/remove all Netbios, TCP/IP protocols from
networking properties
6. restart
7. then add them again (NetBios, TCP/IP etc..)
keep restarting
hope it will work again

Heh - I have a similar, but opposite problem. I have a
win xp host sharing an ADSL connection with a win 98
client. The host and client can share files and printers,
but the client can't see the internet (not even a ping).
How did you get ICS to work?

Maybe if we work together, we can sort both problems?!
