Hi
To use the Wireless at home as you are configured now you would need to
alter the Wireless installation to Ad-Hoc (which might get you into trouble
at work too), and even then it might not be very stable.
In any case, a very good solution to PPPOE and Wireless is to get a Wireless
Cable/DSL Router (better PPPOE Connection, and better Wireless for less than
$30).
You can then use the Laptop the way you used it in Germany.
