Hello All,

I want to configure an RRAS on my 2003 server.
When I want to do this, I always get a message 'IC
(Incoming Connections) is currently enabled on
server1. To configure RRAS, please disable IC and
try again'.

How do I disable IC (Incoming Connections)?

All responses are greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Rick

Are you sure it did not say Internet Connection Firewall is enabled?? That
is usually the case and can be disabled in the network adapters
properties/advanced. -- Steve

Thank you for your response. I am sure it is not the Internet
Connection Firewall, first thing I checked. It states IC (Incoming
Connections).

RRAS will not configure if you have configured an incoming connection in
Network Connections. But sometimes this error pops up even when no
connection has been configured, or after has been deleted. I know there is a
fix for it, but I can't recall what it is. Jog anybody's memory?

I encountered this same issue while trying to enable Routing and Remote Access while utilizing Microsoft Virtual Pc to study for the 70-291 Network Infrastructure exam.

The problem is that there is an "Incoming Connection" listed in your "Network Connections."
Click on Start and then Control Panel. An incoming connection will be listed in your network connections. here. Right click on it "Incoming Connections" and select 'Delete'.

Note: if you have your control panel set up as a menu rather than a Link in your start menu the "Incoming Connection" will appear when you click the control panel link and you can right click it there and select 'delete' from that location.
